⚠️ A Message to All Knox City Cougars Families ⚠️

5 Aug by Rachel Gill

Dear Knox City Cougars Families,

Over the past few weeks, our association has seen an increase in unacceptable behaviour both on the court and from the sidelines.

This has involved players, parents, coaches, and spectators — and unfortunately, some of these incidents have resulted in suspensions.

We want to be absolutely clear: Knox City Cougars has zero tolerance for poor behaviour.

We will not stand for abuse, harassment, or disrespect of any kind. We ask all members of our community to please:

Respect everyone — referees, players, coaches, and fellow spectators

Remember that coaches are volunteers giving up their time for your children

Understand that many referees are juniors who deserve patience and support

Keep the game safe, fun, and enjoyable for all kids

Be the role models we want our players to learn from

No one — child or adult — should feel unsafe, intimidated, or harassed at a basketball game.

Let’s work together to ensure our club remains a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support,
Rachel Gill
